All across the UK, students coordinate and participate in projects for community benefit. In a huge variety of areas, collaborative student projects have generated innovative and invaluable contributions to communities far and wide.
However, we believe that inspirational social change-makers do not come to University ready-equipped. By engaging students with major issues, we intend to equip the future social leaders of tomorrow with the values and skills to influence the sector.
As the major player in UK student volunteering, we exist to inform, inspire, connect and support the present and future of the movement. Aware of the long history of student social action, Student Hubs intends to create the environment in which students can continue to achieve major social impact across the wide range of areas in which they participate.
Through the Hub network and its many member groups, Student Hubs develops projects which create sustainable and positive long-term social change. Click here is you're interested in volunteering through your local Hub.
Student Hubs also co-ordinates conferences and events where the student voice speaks louder on behalf of the movement.
We also act as a resource point, writing as well as sourcing the best literature to advise students on developing great community projects.
Impact, the national student volunteering conference, is running between 11th and 12th February 2012.
