What is a member group?

Member groups are student societies focussed on social and environmental issues that have signed up to be part of a local Hub's network. Student Hubs aims to support these groups with resources and advice, but also with connections and networking opportunities to encourage collaboration and efficiency.

Services for members

Services available to members groups are aimed at increasing effectiveness and sustainability. Primarily, services are accessed through local Hubs, so make direct contact to access support on the following:

  • Incubation and Training
  • Publicity and marketing
  • Running events
  • Hiring equipment and shared resources
  • Office services (mail, storage where possible)
  • Funding and financial management
  • Volunteer management and accessing skills pool
  • Websites and IT systems (Paypal, Grouspaces, longterm email)

Local Hubs will be able to provide a member services pack for you.

Shared Resources

Member groups have open access to the Student Hubs shared resources wiki, a collaborative space for training materials, guides and best practice. Find out more here.
